Owning a successful dog walking and pet sitting company since 1997, Victoria heard from many clients what they loved and didn’t love about boarding their dogs outside of the home. There was so much demand for dog boarding, really good dog boarding, that in 2008, Victoria and Alan came up with the concept for High Tail Hotel.

“It had to be a place that as clients, we would feel safe bringing our dogs to. High Tail Hotel was truly built for our own dogs.”

At the time they personally had 4 dogs, one was a Shepherd with severe hip dysplasia and one was a 3-legged Pit Bull. They knew that they had to create a facility that could take care of all sorts of dogs with all sorts of challenges.

 

“Everything that we developed for High Tail was done with our own dogs in mind.”

They were not looking at a numbers game of stacked crates and suites. They wanted a safe and fun place where  dogs could cuddle at night with their friends. Somewhere that was not institutional but instead, home.
